Since FY2012, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) has implemented the Core-to-Core Program, which consists of two components:
- Advanced Research Networks
- Asia-Africa Science Platforms
The program aims to establish world-class research centers through long-term partnerships with core research institutions across the globe. It promotes collaboration in leading-edge fields, addresses issues of high international priority, and contributes to solving pressing challenges in the Asia and Africa regions.
In addition to advancing research and building strong research and education hubs in Asia and Africa, the program also focuses on fostering the next generation of trailblazing young researchers.
